Sunday Lagos · the first ITAN collection · in development
Worn without explanation.
Everyday clothing rooted in African culture, cut to be worn anywhere. We’re sampling the first pieces now — join the waitlist to see them take shape.
ÌtànYoruba · noun · story; history
To make heritage something worn without explanation.
Told in what we make, and in the stories we keep alive.
That’s the whole brief. Contemporary cuts first. The culture shows up in specific places — a line of Ankara, a real cowrie on the tag — never as a costume.
The story is at the edges.
On an ITAN T-shirt the Ankara never takes over. It sits in the sleeve vent, the hem split, a single line down the back of the neck — always one stroke width, never more than fifteen percent of what you see.
Sleeve vent
A short split at the sleeve, backed in Ankara. You see it when you move, not when you stand still.
The hoodie stays under wraps.
For now, one hint: look inside the hood. Subscribers see it first — the full reveal goes to the waitlist before anywhere else.
The ITAN journal
Follow the making.
Swatches, samples, decisions and second thoughts — dated, in order, as they happen. Nothing posted until it’s real.
Entries are approved by the founder before they go live.
Be there before it’s finished.
